Planned Excursions & Workshops:

Thursday, 5/13 - Farmer's Market Tour

  • The farmer’s market is a beloved Costa Rican tradition that offers a unique window into local life and an unforgettable sensory experience. We invite you to join this vibrant market in the local area where you can enjoy a guided tour and conclude with a delicious lunch cooked in an authentic kitchen.

Friday, 5/14 – Rainforest Mysteries Night Walk (on property)

  • The farm has a saying: we share the day with our forest friends, but at night the trails belong to Mother Nature. Except, that is, for the Rainforest Mysteries Trail, a mile trail laid out in the secondary rainforest near our main lodge. Accompanied by an expert guide, we’ll walk this trail and experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest at night.

Saturday, 5/15 - Herbal Medicine Workshop (on property)

  • An herbal expert will introduce you to herbalism and guide you in learning some basic herbal preparations.  This workshop will not only be rich with information, but we promise you that it will fill your senses with delight. You will be introduced to the practical values of medicinal herbs, using organic herbs from the farms rich volcanic soil to create tinctures that you can bring home to enjoy all the great benefits of the herbal kingdom.

Sunday, 5/16 - Chocolate Workshop: From Fruit to Bar! (on property)

  • We’ll visit the farm’s cacao plantation and see more than 300 cacao trees, most more than 30 years old. After seeing how regenerative practices are used to grow the trees, we’ll learn how chocolate has been made, both by ancient civilizations and by modern techniques. We’ll be taken on a thousand-year chocolate journey, and we’ll make both the ancient “Drink of the Gods” and modern chocolate confections.

Monday, 5/17 -  Enjoy the Costa Rican Hot Springs at The Springs Resort & Spa overlooking the Arenal Volcano (lunch is not included on this day).
