FOCUS OF TRAINING
This program is focused on Hatha, Yin and Restorative yoga. The fastest growing segment of the population who is taking yoga is people over 50. This program will help you serve the needs of that population, while positioning you to be able to teach to diverse groups of students both young and old.
We will achieve this by teaching you how to cue safely and effectively to the students that are in front of you, regardless of their age or abilities.
This program also has a strong focus of personal growth and development through yoga philosophy. You will see how the teachings of the Yamas and Niyamas apply directly to your own life and how you can brings them to life for your students.
We will also teach you about meditation and how to create a lifelong practice to further enrich your teaching and your own well-being. This program has a strong focus on personal growth in your mind, body, and spirit.

SHAWN CORNELISON, CORE INSTRUCTOR
Shawn has been teaching yoga for over 20 years both in the United States and internationally. In addition to being an ERY-500 he is a Certified Yoga Therapist through IAYT. He is also certified in Yin Yoga, Meridian Yoga, Yoga for Anxiety & Depression. His studies have also included an 800 Hour Advanced Teacher Training in Yogic Philosophy.
Shawn travels internationally teaching diverse styles of yoga, as well as offering a 200 & 300 hour teacher training. His home location in the USA is Boston & Las Cruces, New Mexico. In Boston he is a staff instructor in the Open Doors 200 Hour Teacher Training Program and is a co-creator of the Open Doors 300 Hour Teacher Training Program, and in addition offers teacher certification in Yin Yoga and Yoga for Anxeity & Depression.
As a yoga instructor Shawn teaches classes that are focused on breath and functional movement of the body. His classes are geared toward students who want to explore the inner spaces of the body and mind and are both physically challenging and at the same time very accessible. He uses his knowledge of meridians, yin yoga, therapeutic yoga, and fascination with yoga's rich history to create classes which are informative and allow students to move in ways that support their unique structure.

Richard Lanza, ERYT-500, has been exploring the different branches of yoga and forms of holistic health for over 48 years with special focus on energy healing, accessing and developing intuition, and spiritual philosophy. His background includes training in Yoga, Eastern Philosophy, Hypnosis, Acupuncture, Massage, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Energy Healing, Essene Therapy and Therapeutic Touch. In the United States he is the originator and owner of OPEN DOORS HOLISTIC AND METAPHYSICAL CENTER, OPEN DOORS YOGA STUDIOS, Instructor of the OPEN DOORS YOGA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMS (200 & 300 Hour), Co-Director of the OPEN DOORS School of Energy Healing, Creator and Instructor of the Intuitive Mastery Program, producer of Guided Meditation CD series and creator of TranceFormation Workshops. He also has received training and certification from Tolly Burkan as a FireWalk Facilitator.
Richard has taught yoga, meditation, and psychic development workshops nationally and internationally.
